What is Bantumi?

Bantumi is a free online strategy board game based on Mancala (also known as Kalah). Two players take turns picking up stones from their six pits and distributing them counter-clockwise around the board, trying to collect the most stones in their store. Landing in your own store earns an extra turn; landing on an empty pit on your side captures both that pit and the opponent's opposite pit. The game ends when one side is completely empty – making every move count and rewarding long-term thinking.

How to Play

Select any pit on your side of the board that contains stones. The stones are distributed one-by-one counter-clockwise. Your store (the large pit on your right) counts; the opponent's store is skipped. An extra turn is granted whenever the last stone lands in your store. Capture your opponent's stones by landing the last stone in an empty pit on your side – both that pit and the directly opposite pit go into your store. The player who collects more than 24 stones wins.
